Apprenticeship and Training
The Painting Industry of Hawaii administers the apprenticeship and training for members of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT), in Hawaii.

Apprentices require 8,000 hours of on the job training and certain related instruction to become a journeyperson. In addition, safety and health and skill training are regularly scheduled for all members.
