We are District Council 50 of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, or IUPAT, AFL-CIO, CLC, a labor union of 140,000+ men and women across the United States and Canada, who are committed to providing the finest craftsmanship in our trades.

DC50 represents the painters, glaziers and glass workers, carpet and soft tile installers, and drywall finishers in Hawaii’s Construction and Remodeling Industry. We pride ourselves on our professionalism and tradition of excellence, providing craft and safety and health training for our members as well as organizing and political action.

We strive to create a marketplace in which an atmosphere of labor/management cooperation will enhance prosperity for Union employers while, at the same time, ensuring job security, safety, training and excellent wages and benefits for our members.
